This was probably the scariest moment of my life! It all started with getting on a train, while we were all on the train it was going so fast everything was a blur. I heard someone yell "JUMP"! I thought there's no way I am jumping off this train but I chose Dauntless so this is who I am now. I jumped. I fell on to the hard rocky ground and then saw everyone circled around a giant hole. It was blazing hot and I was sweating. Soon someone shouted "who's first!?" no one said a word, finally I step forward. I noticed how deep the hole was and forced my feet not to move, I went up on the ledge and looked down I didn't think I could survive this but I just closed my eyes and fell. Falling. Falling. Still falling and thump I landed, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. There was someone approaching me and said "I'm Four" and he asked for my name "Beatrice" I stated he asked if I wanted to change it, I wasn't thinking and suddenly my name was Tris.

This place is I think no ones favorite place to be. It's dark, cold and full of fear. Everyday we train hard and fight, there is a score board and you move up depending on how you did. if you drop of the score board you are ban from the faction and you would probably starve.

I am Tris's main enemy. I am from Candor, and Christina tells Tris that I am always rude and not right for Candor, saying that I would beat other kids but blame it on them when the adults came. I picks on Tris by calling her a "Stiff." The reason I hurt Tris is because Tris is stronger than I expected. Whenever people are stronger than me, I am jealous. I surrender to Tris and her group at the end of the book after Tris shoots me, and we set off on the train together, with Caleb, Tobias, and Marcus.
