Filming and Editing Their Personal Gifted Explanation Videos
Applying the information they have been learning, students filmed their own explanations of how they are gifted. Students fulfilled 2 roles: film subject and videographer. Next we studied the first 2 minutes of Mulan and a science video to observe what camera shots were used, how long it took for the views to change, and how the story can be told even without using any words. After viewing the first minute of Citizen Kane, the creativity was unleashed. The unusual view from the broken snow globe really caught the classes attention. They could not wait to try to create one of their own. The results were amazing!
Halloween STEM activities
Using science, engineering and math, students had to create the tallest free standing mummies.
