SAFETY DRILLS IN SEPTEMBER
A Quick Reminder
Both are unannounced.
HOWEVER, we will begin the LockDown Drill with "This is a drill" so as not to cause any unnecessary fear or concern.
A gentle reminder if you have a door, you are to check it each morning when you arrive to be sure that it is in the 'lock' mode and you are using your magnet to keep your door ajar for students to enter and leave.
Team Leaders or designated person on each team checks to be sure the grade level hallway door is in locked mode and has not been 'geared down'. If it has been 'geared down', please let us know so we can reset the lock.
Covering your window on your door. Remember, if your window cover curls back up, use the magnet that you moved from the door frame to hold the window cover down and in place.
When you email your status remember you send it to 'Mathews Staff'.
If you have any questions regarding either Fire or Lock Down drills, please visit with me before you leave this weekend...
September is Peanut Butter Month!
'Spread' the Word...
Let's teach our children how even the smallest act of kindness when provided by many makes a BIG difference in our community.
Students are encouraged to bring cans to school. We can have donations drop-offs at both of the main doors as students enter the building.
