Engaging All Students
#TeamStrong on Content, Process, Product
Content
“Content is what students should know, understand, and be able to do as a result of a segment of study. The teacher’s overarching goal is to hold the essential knowledge, understanding, and skills for all learners.”
-Carol Ann Tomlimson
Process
When teachers differentiate process, they teach the same concept or skill to each student; however, the manner in which each student makes sense of the topic or skill can vary. Teachers should vary the activities students use to master the concepts or skills.
Examples: Different strategies include Tiered Activities, Learning Centers, Interactive journals, Graphic organizers and Jigsaw activities.
