My First 2 Six Weeks of Art Class
During the first 2 six weeks of being in art classes we learned about Line, Shape, Form, and Value. We learned about different types of lines like expressive and contour lines. For shape we learned about geometric and organic shapes. We used these lessons and an artist named Henri Matisse and made a sculpture with a big group,we also made a contour drawing which is below. One of the most recent independent project we did was a Dia de los Muertos drawing which is listed below. Most of our Day of the Dead drawing went on display at the Tyler Museum of Art. One of our most recent group projects was the 7th and 8th grade drawing of an alligator on grid paper. Each student got one square to complete which was like a puzzle to create the alligator.
Expressive line drawing
This drawing shows the expression of happiness and excitement.
Dia de los Muertos
This drawing is full of colors to represent the mexican culture of the Dia de los Muertos.
The contour drawing
This drawing is of a tree. I chose to do this drawing because i could do more with the environment than a hand would.
