We need some pictures for the Yearbook. This is more challenging since we have limited access to visitors. We are specifically asking for you to upload a picture of your child on the first day of school AND/OR pictures from eating lunch with your child. As restrictions lift and we can have parents inside the building, we will ask that you take and upload more pictures for the yearbook.

Odyssey of the Mind
Does your child love to paint, sew, sing, dance, design mechanical devices, build vehicles, or tinker? Odyssey of the Mind is an international creative problem-solving competition. Teams of 7 students work together to find solutions to varied problems.
Attendance InformationStudents can miss a maximum of 7 days per semester, according to our district policy. Full-time students are counted absent if they are not here unless it is COVID related. Blended students are marked present on their blended days but will be changed to absent if their work is not returned by the next day. As we are trying to provide continuity for blended and full-time learners it is necessary for work to be completed each day so that students will be ready for the next day's lesson. If your child has been quarantined by the health department for a positive test or possible exposure, he/she should be doing the work on a school device daily. Remember, we are here to help you during these times should you need us! | Notes from the NurseFlu Shots will be given on Thursday, October 8th. We will not have parents/volunteers at the clinic this year. We will have shots only; no mist will be given. Flu shot forms were sent home last week. Both flu forms must be completed front and back. Please include insurance information and sign. If you need a new flu form, please email nurse Amy at aschultz@sdale.org See information on free thermometers below. | Covid Reportinggo.sdale.org/covid If a staff or student tests positive for COVID or has a COVID exposure please complete the form at the site above. Someone will call you and we will move forward with the next steps provided by the Arkansas Department of Health. They make decisions regarding class/grade/school closures. It will be helpful if you notify the school administration or nurse as well. When we have a positive exposure in the building, we will notify all parents via letter/automated phone call. If your child is directly affected, you will get a personal phone call describing the next steps. See daily Covid Numbers for the district and other Covid information at the district website. |

| | OpportunityOver the past several years, we have had so many students join Chief Meteorologist, Dan Skoff, on-air to talk about our local and daily weather. We have partnered with Energizer to show support to our up and coming meteorologist and scientists. However, this year, due to COVID 19, we have made a few changes and are having children show support via Zoom and video submissions. This is such a fun and exciting way for kids to showcase their scientific side and Dan loves to talk weather. This project is eligible for students from the age of 6-15. |
