Curriculum Corner
Reading
We will be continuing our literature circle groups for Running Out of Time this week and will wrap up next week.
Math
We will be taking our unit 7 math test tomorrow. We will spend next week doing some final assessments and fun review activities.
Indiana History
We will be spending this week and next week studying Indiana's economy. Students will have a quiz on Wednesday, 5/24, but I've decided to make it open book/open note to make the last week of school a little less stressful, especially since I may not be here to review with them.
Indiana State Museum Field Trip
Field Day
Graduation Caps
-Puff Paint
-Sharpies (don't work as well as puff paint, but do the job)
-Glitter glue (no loose glitter, please)
-Anything that can be attached with craft glue - sequins, rhinestones, foam shapes, ribbon, etc.
End of year clean out
I always leave it up to the student, but they should not need a backpack on the last day of school. It will be a fun-filled day, so the only thing students really will need is a Sharpie if they want to get their shirt signed by friends.

Thank you!
Summer
-Read, read, read! There are reading programs with prizes available at the library, Barnes & Noble, and 4 Kids Books.
-I will be leaving the kids' Khan Academy accounts active until I get my class list next year. that would be a great way to review fourth grade standards to prepare for fifth grade.
-Eagle Rec has some great summer programs. Mr. Knueven will be offering a computer skills class to help kids get ready for fifth grade.
-Relax and enjoy your summer! I hope all of you have a wonderful summer. I have promised the kids I'll bring the baby to Z'West sometime next year so they can meet her!
