Rock Ledge Primary Center
September 2023
Welcome Back from Principal Inman
We are back and better than ever! I am so excited to welcome our new and returning families of Rock Ledge Primary Center. I can’t wait to hear the greetings and feel the excitement throughout the school. Our theme for this year is We Shine Brighter Together. There are so many things that are better together and Schools & Families is one of them. We love having our families in to volunteer and visit throughout the school. If you are interested in volunteering in your child's classroom, the RLP library or in some other way, please reach out to your child's teacher or me. Parents are also able to come in to join your child for lunch in the lunchroom.
Each month, in our Rock Ledge Primary newsletter, you will be receiving a list of important dates and events, special notices and the school’s lunch/breakfast menu. If you need anything, please do not hesitate to email or call.
This is going to be a wonderful school year!
Mrs. Jamie Inman

Our School Day
Student hours are 7:55am-3:05pm. The 4K morning session will run from 7:55-11:10. The afternoon session will run 11:50am-3:05pm.
At arrival, walkers and students getting dropped off will enter through Door 1 and should not arrive before 7:45. Bussers will enter through Door 12. Parents can only drop off by using the lane closest to the curb. If parents need to leave the vehicle, they will need to park in a parking spot.
At dismissal, students walking or getting picked up will exit Door 1. Anyone picking up should have their Pick Up Patrol car tag with them. This includes people walking. It helps move the process along faster at the end of the day. People picking up should stay in their vehicle and pull forward in the car lane nearest the curb. As parents arrive, staff will check in with the vehicle will call the students out as they pull forward. Please wait and pull forward instead of going around vehicles. Bussers will exit Door 12.
Please leave dogs at home when you are dropping off or picking up your child. If you have your dog in your vehicle please make sure they are secure so they don't jump out of the vehicle. We've had dogs jump out in to traffic and also chase other students leaving their vehicles. This is scary and unsafe for both the dogs and the students. Thank you for your understanding.
Pick Up Patrol
Please make sure you accept your invite you should have received in your email to join Pick Up Patrol. This is our dismissal program we use at the end of the day to know how kids are getting home and who is getting them. We need you to fill in your students default dismissal. This is how they will be getting home daily (bus, pick-up,walking). You can change this any day if their route home will change. If you will be picking your child up early please select Early Dismissal, select the time you will be picking your child, and we will have your student ready in the office for you. There will be no reason to call the school. If it is not you picking up your child please be sure to enter the name of the person picking them up.If you have not yet accepted the invite or did not receive an email please contact the office or you can email Lynn at lklawiter@seymour.k12.wi.us for assistance. This is extremely important for a smooth end of the day transition for students, staff, as well as parents/guardians and bus drivers.
Milk Break
Milk break is provided at a cost of $63.00 for the year or $21.00 per trimester for students in grades 5k, 1st, and 2nd. Envelopes will be provided at open house or you can place a check or cash in an envelope clearly marked with your child's name, homeroom teacher, and write milk money on the outside. If you choose to pay by trimester, payment is due the first day of each trimester. If you would like to pay online please call the Primary Center Office or email lklawiter@seymour.k12.wi.us with your child's name and whether you would like to pay the full year or trimester and the fees will be assessed accordingly. If you are part of the free and reduced meal plan milk break is included so there is no fee for milk break.
eFunds
The SCSD provides an on-line payment option called e~Funds for Schools that allows parents several payment options. Parents should go to the district website and click on the eFunds link to sign up to have school payments automatically withdrawn electronically. You can pay school fees, add lunch money, and pay milks.
Reporting Absences
It is the parent’s responsibility to notify the school office of a child’s absence. The absence line is open to accept your call 24 hours a day for your convenience. If your child is absent, please call Rock Ledge Primary by 9:00 a.m. the morning of the absence at 833-5155, Ext. 1, to leave your absence message.
