Dear Salt Creek District 48 Families,

It was such a pleasure to meet many of you at the FTC School Supply Pickup yesterday! I can tell that so many of our students and you, the families, are just about ready for school to start. Yesterday was the first day we opened the buildings for our staff so they could start returning to set up their classrooms. Our custodians and maintenance crews worked very hard to ensure everything is clean and ready for the school year. It is great to see the schools buzzing again with our staff members! Believe it or not, we eagerly anticipate our students' return. The partnership between home and school is integral to your child's success, and we are committed to fostering and nurturing this connection. Together, we can create an environment that supports and empowers our students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. One of our goals this year is to increase the collaboration between parents, teachers, and the community, as we believe this is the cornerstone of a well-rounded education. We plan to send this district-wide newsletter at least once per month, and our schools will continue to send you their newsletters weekly. On behalf of the Board of Education and the entire District 48 staff, we look forward to working closely with you to ensure a positive and fulfilling learning experience for every student.
