Collins-Maxwell Elementary
April 2022
Now is the Time to Get Involved!
We have a fantastic parent group, Partners in Education (PIE) who has provided so many awesome opportunities for our students and staff at Collins-Maxwell Elementary. We truly wouldn't be able to do what we do without their support. Some of the ways they have helped our school are:
- New playground structures and equipment
- Rock wall
- Music instruments
- Kimber's monthly food costs
- Staff meals during PT conferences
- Field trips
- Outdoor classroom and Addy's Garden
- Many more!
Along with purchasing items, PIE also takes the lead on great events like the upcoming Family Game Night and our Family Dance.
We would love for more parents to be involved with this group who meets only a few times a year. Although we are starting to wind down the 2021-2022 school year, now is a great time to plan to be active in this group for the upcoming school year!
22-23 Preschool/Kindergarten
We are excited for you to have a new group of young learners join the Collins-Maxwell family as part of our Preschool or Kindergarten program this fall! Grandparents Day
We would like to invite your child’s grandparents to visit our school on Grandparent’s Day that will be held on Friday, April 22. Activities will begin at 1:00 in the individual classrooms. After approximately 45 minutes we’ll adjourn to the gym for a program presented by our students under the direction of our music teacher. The program begins at 2:00.
We ask that grandparents arrive at the school no earlier than 12:50. Greeters will help direct them when they arrive.
Students whose grandparents are unable to attend may invite another relative or special friend.
Anyone who has more than one grandchild in the elementary should feel free to split their time between their grandchildren’s classrooms.
We all are looking forward to this special day and hope the Grandparents will enjoy their visit.
