Growing with STEM in Fourth Grade
This week includes two exciting learning opportunities for our fourth grade scholars. On Tuesday, October 20th, our scholars will go on a field trip to Nash Farm and on Wednesday, October 21st, our fourth graders will be connecting with NASA for a NASA ARES Classroom Connection Webinar! See below for more info!
“Real Martian Explorers…just what does it take!”
This event will feature an interactive presentation, led by scientist Doug Ming from NASA ARES at the NASA Johnson Space Center. The webinar will focus on the exploration or Mars, the Martian Movie, and what it might take to enable humans to live and work on Mars as real Martian explorers. The presentation will last approximately 40 minutes followed by an optional 10-20 minutes of Q & A from you/your students. The event will be geared towards students in 4– 9th grade but we welcome other grade levels to join the fun!

Just a few reminders about our iPads. Please be sure to have your scholars power down and charge their iPads daily. Also, please have your scholar keep a pair of headphones or earbuds with them in their backpacks. There are a number of activities on their iPads such as spelling tests where earbuds or headphones are needed. If a scholar comes to school without their iPads charged or without their headphones they may not be able to participate in our daily activities. We thank you in advance and appreciate your help in ensuring that your scholars are prepared for school.
