'Tis the Season
This Week
This week we wrapped up our fall theme. Some activities were lacing pumpkins and apples, making wreaths with leaves, cutting circles, sequencing number puzzles, and playing with moon sand. During circle time, we worked on identifying emotions, talked about who is a girl and who is a girl, and picked out big and small items.
During P.E., we listened to several songs, including Mousercise, Eensy Weensy Spider, and Wheels on the Bus, and did actions to go along with the words. We also took turns riding on scooter boards while sitting on our bottoms and laying on our tummies. With our friends from Room 15, we read "Scarecrow, Scarecrow What Do You See?" and played building language lotto during which we identified objects from various categories (e.g., Under the Sea, On the Farm, Around the House). In the dramatic play area, we had ice cream parties!
