STUDENT BELONGINGS PICK UP DAY - FRIDAY, MAY 22ND
Please read the following very carefully.
On Friday, May 22nd Dunning Elementary School will allow parents to pick up student belongings as reported in the Framingham Public School’s student belonging survey sent out several weeks ago.
This pick up will include ALL items requested in the survey. This includes medication, instruments, and other miscellaneous items. If you did not complete the survey, you can still pick-up your student's belongings.
FPS has decided that schools will hang on to all artwork for students in grade K-4 until the fall and distribute it then. We will work to have all artwork for students in grade 5 in student belonging bags.
The details of the pick up are as follows:
- Parents will pull into the main entrance of Dunning Elementary School during their designated time slot (please see below) and drive around the building to the right to the loading dock. There will be signs and staff directing traffic.
- In preparation for the pick up, please write the name of your student/students and his/her teacher/teachers on a piece of paper (large enough for staff to see) and hold it up in your window upon arrival.
- Staff will look at the name of the student/students and get the student belongings.
- Parents will open trunks, hatchbacks, or back doors to allow staff to put student belongings in their car.
- Once you have opened your trunks, hatchbacks, or back doors, please return to your car.
- Staff will bring out student belongings and place them in cars.
- Once belongings are placed in cars, cars will pull forward and leave.
We respectfully request that no one leave their vehicle as we are working to maintain social distancing to ensure the safety and well being of everyone involved.
We have a tight time schedule so please ONLY show up at Dunning during your scheduled time. If you have multiple students per family, please show up at the younger students' scheduled time and we will get all items during that pick up.
Also, as much as we’d like to be flexible on the day/time of the pickup, due to the number of people involved in this pickup, we will not consider any changes to this schedule.
This is a one way pick-up. Any library books or materials that you may have at home will be returned in the fall. We are happy that kids will have library books at home as an option to read over the summer. Please reread these books as much as you like! We love that you are reading. If you are done with the book and worried it might get mixed up at home, place your book in your school backpack now and it will be ready to return when you come back to school in the fall.
This is the only day pick up is allowed.
