Tim Burners-Lee was born on the 8th of June, 1955. He is best known for the invention of the world wide web. He studied physics at Oxford university and became a software engineer. In 1980 he described "hypertext" that allowed people from all across the globe to share information. In 1989 he published "information management". He then joined up hypertext with the internet so that people could share and receive information from all parts of the world. He named it the world wide web. He is still alive today and we all use the world wide web more than ever now. He is a legend and will go down in history for creating modern day computing.
