Flood's Flash
Good Evening Parents/Guardians!
Friendly reminder, tomorrow is a late start Wednesday! The doors will open at 9:45!
MAP Testing (our MO standardized assessment) is officially underway and will continue through May 6. If your student is a 3rd-6th grade student, please remember that the following can be so helpful for a successful MAP testing experience.
- Get at least 8-10 hours of restful sleep
- Eat a hearty breakfast in the morning
- Please try to keep appointments scheduled outside of MAP testing days
- Arrive on time to school so that your child can utilize the entire testing session
- Be sure to FULLY charge chromebooks EACH NIGHT, as these are used during all testing sessions
Please feel free to reach out to your child's classroom teacher for specific testing schedules and information. Thank you!
Best,
Mrs. Rachel Flood, Principal
Mrs. Amy Westacott, Assistant Principal

ALLERGY ALERT & Water Bottle Donations
Hello from the Health Room.
Allergy season is upon us! If your student has allergeries, it may be a good idea to start giving them allergy medicine before going to bed or a non-drowsy allergy pill in the mornings before school. You may also bring an unopened bottle of medicine to the school for your student to keep in the Health Room.
Bottled Water Donations:
Due to COVID, the water fountains can not be used. We are in need of bottled water donations to help those students who forget their water bottles or just don’t have one to bring. We would greatly appreciate any water bottle donations you could supply. Just drop your donations off at the school office. Thank you for your help!!

A few notes on protocols and health guidelines for LSR7
* Staff and students wear masks at all times unless we are taking a mask break while socially distanced.
* Students will hand wash and/or sanitize hands each time they leave and enter a new space. Ex: from classroom to art, from PE to recess, from classroom to lunch, etc. . .
* Classroom desks/tables will be sanitized each time students eat breakfast.
* Students will maintain consistent seating charts in classrooms, at lunch, in special class and students will have assigned line orders. These practices will help us should we need to contact trace.
* The schedule has been build with extra time in between recesses and special class so equipment and materials can be cleaned.
