12:00 - 1:00 Time is yours for lunch and/or planning

1:00 - 2:45 Team Planning - focus will be on updating TAC, lesson planning and/or developing common assessments in Math or Writing. Please utilize your Go Math, Lone Star & Investigations resources to develop your common assessments in Math and Lucy Calkins or Write Source for Writing.

2:45 All front office blinds will be closed for cleaning purposes. Administration will not have access to view the parking lot. If administration hasn't already found you to give you a warm Thanksgiving hug, please stop by the office!

Please remember to email your Reading A-Z reading levels on or before Friday. I am assuming that our email will be up and running by then. :)

Great Things are Happening because of the Sunshine Committee!

We have lots of fun things planned:

  • On Nov. 20th, dinner provided prior to the KHES Open House
  • December 1 - February 27th - Every Wednesday is Warm-up/Wind pant Wednesday! You may wear warm ups or wind pants. The Sunshine Committee will also be providing a hot chocolate bar in the teacher's lounge every Wednesday morning.
  • December 5th - We are planning our holiday catered dinner/BYOB and white elephant gift exchange. The dinner will be held at Kristen Eriksen's house
  • On December 18th we are having a tacky Christmas sweatshirt contest. If you participate you get a jeans pass and could win other great prizes.

Education in Action Fall Nominations

You make a positive impact in your student’s lives everyday within the classroom. Education in Action would like to help you continue this influence with a week-long overnight camp focusing on academics and leadership skills.

Education in Action invites you to nominate your outstanding 4th-8th grade students who meet the following criteria (no limit to the number of students you nominate):

« Maintain an 85 or higher average

« Demonstrate leadership ability

« Involved in their school/community

Nominate Here

(Nominated students receive a certificate of teacher recognition from Education in Action.)

Education in Action encourages educators to nominate all eligible students regardless of their financial situation. Students nominated by the November 21st deadline have ample time to take advantage of scholarship/sponsorship opportunities or our new group discount if desired. We work one on one with students that require financial assistance (visit the Financial Aid link at www.educationinaction.org.

We cannot say it enough...Thank you for all the extra time you put into this profession. Thank you for caring for each and every child even on the days you want to pull your hair out. Thank you for being there for others and encouraging others who have other things on their minds. Thank you for accepting your role as teacher, leader, surrogate mother/father, friend and co-worker.

We cannot say it enough... THANK YOU! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with the people you love.

Love,

Kristen & Jane
