Dear Families,
We had a great week! We had our kindergarten field trips to the Red Barn Farm, our weekly late start, and our monthly Lansing School District Inclusive Playground Meeting. At the Inclusive Playground meeting we discussed the next steps for the $15,000 grant competition through Impact KC. If you are interested in assisting with fundraising for the Inclusive Playground Project we have opportunities available here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0F49A9A82CA3FDC34-44361182-fundraising#/
Next week will be short with no school for students on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We have Parent-Teacher conferences on Wednesday night from 4-8pm and Parent-Teacher conferences on Thursday from 7am-3pm. Please reach out if you have any questions about when your P/T conference time is scheduled. We are striving for 100% attendance. There is no school for staff or students this Friday.
A few reminders:
Bagtags: Students should now have tags on their backpacks indicating how they are going home. Please do not remove these. This assists us in ensuring your student is in the correct location at dismissal.
Bus riders: If your student is a bus rider, I strongly encourage you to get the bus compass app. This will allow you to monitor bus location in real time.
Visitors: We would like to remind families that all visitors must enter and sign in through the office.
Our Schedule: Our school day is from 8:30-3:30 (M-W, & F) and 9:30-3:30 on Late Start Thursdays (if there are 3 or more days of school). Students are considered tardy if they arrive at school after 8:30 (M-W, & F) and 9:30 on Late Start Thursdays. If your student(s) is going to be late or absent please call us at 913-727-1128.
Arrival & Dismissal Map: Our updated traffic pattern map is attached below. 1st grade car riders will arrive on the NORTH side of the building and dismiss on the NORTH side. Please see our traffic map below.
Bus transportation: must be arranged by families. Please arrange bus transportation using the following link https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScEsJBUyk0ji1m--u_x6dAYIfDmCyf0ndjZsYQgH6F-4N7PTg/viewform. Please see more bus information below.
