Weekly Shout Outs and Grizzly GOOD News!
Volunteers for our Fall Picture Day
Shout out to some of our amazing CGS families for volunteering to help where is needed on campus! Your support is GREATLY appreciated!
Here are some photos from our Fall Picture Day! Thank you to Mrs. Foster, Ms. Goss, and Ms. Barnes for their assistance! We couldn't have done it without you!
Classroom Engagement
Shout out to our K-12 Music Elective Teacher, Mrs. Ingle. Mrs. Ingle is one of our traveling teachers that teaches courses at both our K-8 campus and at our High School daily! Mrs. Ingle is constantly engaging her students and teaching them about the various instruments that exist and how to appreciate them. She is working very hard with our beginner guitar class and we hope to hear them perform sometime this school year. Her chorus class will be performing at the Relay for Life event in Burlington on September 19th. Great community event! More details coming soon. Here she is with one of our 1st grade classes! Keep up the great work Mrs. Ingle!
Shout out to Mrs. Leach, one of our High School Science Teachers. Mrs. Leach has really had to "think outside of the box" in order for our students to participate in lab experiments and activities while using a "shared classroom space" at our satellite high school campus. She took advantage of the nice weather before Academic Break and took her physical science class outside to participate in an experiment. Keep up the great work Mrs. Leach!

Feedback Form FAQ Document for CGS Families 2023-2024
FAQ Feedback Form Submissions for 9-4-23
How do we find the Athletics and Band Program options for ordering shirts?
- Here is the link for ordering through athletics: https://sideline.bsnsports.com/schools/north_carolina/burlington/clover-garden-school
- We will look to provide the band program option and will share ASAP with the access code needed for ordering.
How do I get a refund for lunch money in MySchoolLunch since HS students are going to be with a different hot lunch company?
- You will need to contact our cafe coordinator, Ms. Robyn at robyncox@cgsnc.org for details! I know she and Mrs. Simmons have been working diligently on this for many of our families so far.
How do we move cafeteria funds for MySchoolAccount to MyHot Lunchbox account?
- See answer above!
Will there be a makeup picture day?
- Yes for our K-8 students only. This is scheduled for September 26, 2023.
- Picture Day was a huge challenge and took up a lot of instructional time on the high school campus prior to our break. It would not be beneficial for our students or staff to do that again while housed on our temporary campus. All of our students will have Spring pictures taken and any students in high school missing a fall photo will have the opportunity to have their picture taken in the Spring for our school's yearbook.
The Clover Garden Science department is in need of supplies for the high school. If anyone would like to assist in purchasing supplies you can make a donation or purchase items from the Amazon wish list. Any donation or purchase is appreciated! Below is the link to an Amazon wishlist: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2TZ6WK8NPNKRX?ref_=wl_share Thank you for all who can contribute!
- Thank you for sharing, I know our teachers and students appreciate it!
What is the process for checking a high school student driver out early from the satellite location? Send letter or call?
- You can do both or either. If you'd like to call the front office as you've done in the past on the K-8 campus, just dial (336) 586-9440 and press ext. 2 to get to Mr. Graham or email him at adriangraham@cgsnc.org.
**Parents, just a note- if you have a specific issue/complaint/concern with a member of our CGS staff, you will need to email me directly. I will not post concerns specific to an individual staff member in this forum.
Click on the link here to ask your question! Also, if you have any GOOD NEWS to share, please use this link as well! Sometimes your emails get lost and we appreciate any/all feedback! : )

Athletic Department News
Parents,
Please click on this link to access Athletics' Newsletter!
Parents/Students- PLEASE READ:
While we encourage and LOVE student engagement and participation at our after school athletic events, students are NOT allowed to stay after school and "hang out" until the games begin. ALL STUDENTS must leave school at dismissal and return when the gate opens prior to the start of the game and enter through the back gym entrance. We do not have supervision for our students after school and want to ensure the safety of all of our students while they are on our campus.
If you have any questions, please contact our Athletic Director, Coach Paschal at taylorpaschal@cgsnc.org.
Mental Health Survey 23-24
Parents, we are actively looking into options for our students this school year regarding Mental Health Services. If you are interested or are in need of mental health/counseling type services for your student(s), please fill out the survey below.
We are working together in partnership with licensed clinical social workers and local hospitals/mental and behavioral health centers together on ways to help support our students.
This new process will involve billing students' insurances for mental health services. If your student doesn't have insurance, please note that on the form. Any and all students, regardless of insurance coverage will get the support they need this school year.
Please fill out the survey below for your student and administration will be in touch with more information regarding your survey information soon. We hope/plan to have a professional onsite and ready to work with our students by the end of September!

High School Campus ONLY:
Myhotlunchbox delivery will begin on Wednesday of this week! REMINDER- MySchoolAccount is only for K-8 Campus. Our High School will be using MyHot Lunchbox.
See important information below to register your student's account. You have until NOON the day before expected delivery to place your student's lunch order! We are excited to see CiCi's Pizza, La Fiesta, and Chic-Fil-A as options so far this school year! The menu also has a lot of options to order from compared to years in the past on our current K-8 Campus. We hope our students will like this option. We are starting with just 3 days a week for food delivery to see how well our school community utilizes the option. The other two days, your student will be responsible for bringing their lunch. If the 3 days are a hit and successful, we will look to add additional days later in the school year. We must meet a minimum of orders placed daily in order for the delivery to continue for that particular restaurant.
