Hampton Bays Middle School
Parent Express Bulletin #33
A great week ahead!
Dear HBMS Families:
This week, we look forward to something for everyone, as an extension to the meaningful learning that happens in the classroom.
5th grade:
On Thursday, our students are poised to perform in their Spring concert. The balance of classes who haven't yet gone to the Vanderbilt Planetarium will do so on Friday.
6th grade:
Following an awesome trip to New York City, Thursday will also be our Spring Concert for our 6th graders.
7th grade:
On Wednesday, we will take our annual "Long Walk to Water" as a culminating event to reading this powerful story and raising awareness of the importance of perseverance in our lives.
6th, 7th, and 8th grade:
On Tuesday, the Hampton Bays Schools will proudly present rock band, Attaboy, on the field of the high school. This program will provide our children with a message about character, while enjoying some good music and fun. The assembly will take place during the school day and students will be transported to and from the high school on a school bus. All students will have lunch either before or after the program. A big thank you to Assistant Superintendent Mrs. Sullivan for coordinating this exciting event for our students!
This time of year, it's important for us to keep a close eye on the weekly calendar. It's events such as these that give us something special to discuss with our adolescent, both before and after they occur.
Thanks for all you do to promote a positive home-school and school-home partnership for our adolescents!
Sincerely,
Dennis Schug
