If you would like to keep up with due dates for this unit, they are all posted a ready on Home Access Center. This will also be a great place to check for NHI's as well and absent work. These packets are due for a grade every Thursday before the quiz. Our Spelling Quizzes are held on every Friday.

The students will have a vocabulary quiz on this chapter; hopefully next week on Thursday. The words are: Corporation, Monopoly, Labor Union, Strike, Persecution, Tenement, Slum, Settlement House, Stockyard, Progressives, and Muckraker.
I will announce the date for their test over this chapter next week.
SCIENCE - MS. KARAKOYUN
Monday, Dec. 8th we will have Quiz 1 over Static Electricity. For the quiz, students need to know,
*Electric Charge,
*Static Electricity,
*Electric Field,
*Electric Force,
*Attract,
*Repel.
Next week we will start talking about circuits. (Electric Circuit, Series Circuit, Parallel Circuit.) Because there is MAP testing next week, we will have short classes. If we have time, students will creates circuits by using wires, batteries and light bulbs. If we don't have enough time, we will complete the experiment following week.
Homeroom: First semester is almost over. Everyone is so excited. I thought adding a little more joy and excitement wouldn't hurt anybody. And I came up with this idea to share presents that I wrapped for them. I have a basket, that has names of students written on a piece of paper. Every afternoon, I will pick one lucky person. Each gift has numbers on them. Monday, Dec. 1st was day 1. The student that was called out on Dec. 1st get the gift that has number 1 on it. This way, until the end of this semester, every student in my homeroom will come home with a present.
These websites has games that are related to what we are studying:
