Please be sure students are checking their school email daily and the Class of XXXX G-Classroom daily.
Quarter 1 grades just went out. Remember these grades are more of a progress check as they do not go on the transcripts. Students received a hard copy yesterday and an email went out to the parents.
Reminder to parents, current grades, missing assignments and attendance can be seen by logging in to your parent portal. The same parent portal you signed in to for enrollment.
If you need a password reset you should be able to do that by 'recovering your password'. If not, please email tiffany.dunkle@littleaxeps.org.
Fall pictures:
If your student did not get their photo taken, retakes are Nov 15th.
Seniors ONLY- Emails notifications have started going out. With this link, you must have the code given to you on the half piece of paper. The school is not given those codes so you NEED to keep this in a safe place. This link will allow you to pick the picture you want for the yearbook, as well as, the graduation panel. If anyone would like to order their picture(s), you will also use that link. None of this information is filtered through the school. Please contact Oklahoma School Pictures with any questions. https://www.okschoolpics.com/
Jostens came to present to 10th and 12th grade for class rings and graduation information Monday. If you did not recieve a packet home, Mrs. Stroud has extra in her room. You can also go to Jostens.com, make sure you put in Little Axe High School and you can get the same information on their website. All payments go through Jostens. Orders will either be delivered to the student at school by Jostens or they will be mailed to the home.
Caps and gowns will eventually come to the school and will be passed out around spring break. If you are doing senior pictures on your own and need a cap and gown, one can be borrowed from the counselors office.
A lot of senior communication, updates and reminders go out via Class of 2023 remind. Please make sure parents and students are a part of this. Join code is: cead9ad

Employer Tuition Assistance for Higher Education
Many agencies, organizations, institutions and businesses across Oklahoma provide tuition assistance benefits to help their employees pay for higher education. Types of education benefits for employees vary, and may include:
- Tuition payment assistance or reimbursement.
- Payment/reimbursement for licensing courses and exams.
- Matched contributions to employer-sponsored 529 college savings plan.
- Student loan repayment.
To provide an additional resource for the students and parents you serve as they explore options to help cover college costs, the State Regents’ team maintains a list of employers that offer tuition assistance benefits for employees that can be used at an Oklahoma public college or university.
To view the roster, visit our Employer Tuition Assistance for Higher Education webpage. Listings are continually expanded as more employers that offer tuition assistance benefits are added.
We encourage you to share this link and information with students, parents and staff to help us build awareness of this important information!

ICAP update
Most students know how to login and start but if not, please wait until the teachers have had their training. Mrs. Harp has posted a lot of resources on the Little Axe website (or link below) to help assist students. Just about all questions can be answered from that.
Thank you to the students and teachers who have already started this process.

Sign up for the PSAT assessment
10th and 11th grade ONLY.
Student price: $22.00
*$22.00 must be paid to Mrs. Harp by Sept 13th by the end of the school day.
TEST DATE: OCT 12th, 2022
Why take the PSAT:
https://www.collegedata.com/resources/prepare-and-apply/reasons-to-take-the-psatWhen you take the PSAT, you may earn a qualifying score to enter the National Merit Scholarship Program and compete for national recognition and college scholarships. To be considered for a National Merit Scholarship, you must also satisfy high academic standards and other requirements.
- By taking the PSAT/NMSQT as a junior, students may meet the requirements to enter the National Merit® Scholarship Program, an academic competition for recognition and scholarships. Additionally, the SAT, PSAT/NMSQT, and PSAT 10 connect students to another $300 million in college scholarships for students across major demographics. Learn more about the scholarships.
- The PSAT/NMSQT has three parts: the Reading Test, the Writing and Language Test, and the Math Test. See what's on the test.
- PSAT/NMSQT scores are available online in December. Here's how your child can see their scores.
- We never send PSAT/NMSQT scores to colleges.
Because the PSAT/NMSQT and the SAT focus on the same subject areas and ask the same types of questions, your child can use Official SAT Practice on Khan Academy to practice for the PSAT/NMSQT. It's a free, interactive study tool that provides a personalized practice plan that focuses on exactly what your child needs to stay on track for college.
Your child can download and print official PSAT/NMSQT practice tests.
