Morning Arrival to School!
Traffic will be very congested around THS in the morning, particularly early in the school year. Please plan ahead and allow yourself plenty of time to arrive safely.
Student drivers will park in the student parking lot only. It is located in the front of the building, and you must have a valid parking permit to park. All students must have parking permits purchased and displayed no later than Friday, August 23rd. At this time, only juniors and seniors may purchase parking permits. The parking application is located on the THS website.
Parents should drop off students in the front circle drive located in the front of the building. When exiting the parent drive, cars must turn right on Harlem towards West Airport.
Parents are not allowed to drop off students in the student parking lot nor the Children's Lighthouse parking lot.
Thank you in advance for adhering to the above and helping us keep our Tigers safe!
Parents are allowed to drop students off on the bus ramp after 7:10.
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year!
I hope you have had a fantastic summer and are ready to begin a great year at Travis High School. As we prepare for a new school year, I think of the excitement and nervousness many young people experience. Our exceptional team of talented teachers and staff have worked hard to prepare a fun and productive opening week of school. Our theme this year is “All In”. Education always has catchy new initiatives and acronyms, but when it comes down to it, our mission is about teaching, learning, and doing whatever it takes for our students and our teammates. We can use the ‘right’ vocabulary and say all the ‘right’ catch phrases, but what really matters is that our actions demonstrate that we are ALL IN.
We will continue to refine our foundation of rigorous instruction, honored traditions, and purposeful opportunities for our students. Schoology and blended learning will increase this year as we are a Phase I technology roll out campus. Our classes will generally be 2:1 with laptop carts available for students to utilize in the classrooms. Be on the lookout for information about the parent folders in each Teacher’s Schoology course. These folders will be updated weekly and you can view upcoming assignments that way.
Remember that school begins at 7:30 am and dismisses at 2:45 pm. The building opens each day for students at 6:40 am and students not participating in after school activities should be picked up by 3:15pm each day. Please take a moment during the first few days/weeks of school to review the content of the district Parent/Student Handbook with your child. Detailed dress code information can be found at www.fortbendisd.com on the ‘Parent’ tab.
In an effort to continue with quality communication from the school, you will receive weekly parent newsletters via email. These will include the week’s events, looking ahead, and links to frequently needed information. Our website is also a valuable tool for the campus calendar and general campus information at www.fortbendisd.com/THS. If you are having trouble receiving our emails here are a few ways for you to troubleshoot: check your spam folder and email settings to allow emails from Travis High School at no.reply@fortbendisd.com and be sure to complete your online paperwork in Family Access where you can verify the accuracy of your email addresses. Please feel free to reach out to us at any time!
FBISD’s Child Nutrition Department launched a new software program this school year, SchoolCafe. SchoolCafe will allow parents to create an account, make online payments, view school menus, set account restrictions and more. SchoolCafe can be accessed at https://www.schoolcafe.com/fbisd or through the SchoolCafe app. (Visit the Apple Store or Google Play store to download.) Users will no longer be able to make online meal payments through RevTrak. Should you have any questions, please contact FBISD Child Nutrition at (281) 634-1855.
Please mark your calendars for these upcoming events and visit our website for more:

It's Time To Update Your Student's Information!
The window for student verification is now open for all new and returning FBISD students. Parents must verify the contact and emergency information for all students each year! Through Family Access, parents can verify their student’s information and learn more about District resources including Child Nutrition and Extended Learning. Parents without Family Access accounts will need to contact their child’s campus for assistance.
