Jay Mankita, an American songwriter, guitarist, recording artist, and dad is coming to Butter Beans Food & Garden Summer Camp!


Jay writes and performs songs for kids about animals, ecology, and healthy food. His tour van even runs on recycled vegetable oil!

Experience a day in the life of a Butter Beans camper!


Singer-songwriter Jay Mankita will perform, sing, and dance with our campers for this unique musical food concert. Enjoy the music while meeting some of our camp "partners in the field" - the yoga instructors, food business owners, educators, and chefs who support Butter Beans camp. These remarkable individuals will offer materials and samples to give you a sense of what they teach in our camp program.


Guests include: Birdbath Bakery, Green Mustache Smoothies, Yoga Teacher Ginger Merritt, and more


Stick around after the concert to check out our campers preparing a colorful lunch with Jay Mankita, whose song "Eat Like a Rainbow" will be stuck in your head for days to come!


Light refreshments to be provided. Butter Beans t-shirts and signed Jay Mankita albums will be available for purchase.

Butter Beans Food & Garden Camp

Butter Beans Food & Garden Summer Camp is a complete farm-to-table experience for campers ages 6-10, covering the full spectrum of the food cycle.


Throughout the summer, campers have the opportunity to experience every aspect of the food cycle, from planting and sprouting to watering, harvesting, cooking, pickling, preserving, and composting.
