Mandi completed the TAP, a vocational skills assessment, with 9th and 10th grade students at Penns Manor High School.

Concrete, Representational, Abstract Sequence of Instruction
CRA is a sequential three level strategy promoting overall conceptual understanding, procedural accuracy and fluency by employing multisensory instructional techniques when introducing the new concepts.
Acadience Assessment & Data Interpretation
Assessing K-6 mathematics skills using the Acadience Mathematics Assessments. Using assessment data to inform instruction and intervention.

Mandi Anderson joined the ARIN IU 28 TaC Team in 2021, supporting the initiatives MTSS Mathematics, Learning Environment & Student Engagement (behavior), and Secondary Transition. She also coordinates work experience for the ARIN classrooms.
Mandi is currently pursuing a graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from the Florida Institute of Technology. She has a Master of Teaching degree from Western Governors University in Secondary Mathematics Education. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from WGU with a dual major in Elementary Education (K-6) and Special Education (PK-12).
Mandi holds Pennsylvania Level II teaching certificates in Special Education (PK-12), Elementary Education (K-6), Mid-Level Mathematics (5-8), Secondary Mathematics (7-12), Mid-Level English (5-8), and Secondary English (7-12).
Mandi is a member of the following professional organizations:

Prior to joining the TaC Team, Mandi worked as the Emotional Support teacher for grades 6-12 at Saltsburg Middle-High School. Her teaching experience at Blairsville-Saltsburg (now River Valley) also includes high school learning support and elementary emotional support. Mandi also has experience working as a paraprofessional in various K-12 learning environments and alternative education settings. Outside of public education, Mandi's experience includes Supports Coordination for adults with disabilities, teaching preschool ages 3-5, and training employees of newly opened stores via the corporate training team for Ponderosa Steakhouses while attending college.
