FROM THE HEAD'S DESK
A message from our Junior Boys for any past Ridgeway pupils and parents
It has been a very difficult week at Claires Court Junior Boys with the sad news that Mrs Susan Payne, our Deputy Head, is very unwell in hospital. I would like to thank so many of you for your kind words of support, and I can inform you that having spoken with Imogen, one of Susan’s daughters’ this morning, the family would be happy to receive any get well cards and well wishing messages from the parent body. If you would like to send a card, please drop it into the school office at Junior Boys school, and we will ensure that it reaches Susan. Please do not send emails as we will not be able to pass these on.
Justin Spanswick - Head of Junior Boys
Do pop a card in through the Senior Boys Office and we will ensure these are passed on.
I hope that all had a fruitful half term, I am told that the snow in Europe was excellent and I am slightly jealous of the tanned faces around school at this time.
Congratulations to all who performed at the Orchestra Day before half term, it was a great event. Harry Bennett who unfortunately did not play at this event competed at the Berkshire Festival and won the Woodwind section against over 60 other musicians, very well done.
My thanks to all who turned up to the PTA AGM, we have our new committee and any offers of help can be directed to me and I will pass on details to Felipe Foy our Chairman.
A reminder for the 3for3 charity week, I know boys will be bringing home details, please give them your full support.
Finally the Senior Rugby squad will be touring South Africa in the summer, we are looking to produce a souvenir brochure and are looking for sponsors, £100 will gain you an advert in the programme and £250 will also have your name as a sponsor on their playing /tour kit. Further details from Scott Harris.
In honour of St David's Day.
