JUMP ROPE FOR HEART
Our school will be holding Jump Rope For Heart on Friday, February 24. Parent volunteers are needed to help with planning, prize distribution and to count donations on the day of the event. If you are interested in helping in the fight against our nation's number one killer--heart disease, please contact Mrs. Spears. jspears@hse.k12.in.us.
WINTER WEATHER
As colder weather has arrived, please note that students go outside at recess when the temperature (and wind-chill) is 15 degrees or above. It is important that students arrive to school with appropriate dress for the colder weather such as long pants (no shorts), coats, hats, gloves, and/or scarfs. Thank you for double checking that your child is making appropriate clothes choices each day!
TRANSPORTATION CHANGES MADE DURING THE DAY
Parents, please be aware of our policy regarding a transportation change that occurs during the school day. All telephone calls must be received by 2:00PM. This is to allow enough time to accurately deliver messages to teachers, as well as time to confirm the change if necessary. Please do not call the school after 2:00PM to make a transportation change except in the case of extreme emergencies. Thank you!

SPRING FLING NEEDS YOUR HELP!
FCE’s Spring Fling is May 5 this year and we are starting to plan this event! In case you didn’t know, Spring Fling is a carnival style event where students play various games and have a ton of fun! It is our biggest fundraiser, so it takes a lot of volunteers. We have openings for Admissions Chair, Decorations chair, Marketing Chair and Head Co-Chair. We have evening meetings once a month usually at Murphy’s…that’s where we do our best thinking! You will have guidance and support from the other committee members. If interested in learning more about any of these positions, please contact Carl Chan at chancc@gmail.com.
Be sure to check the FCE website for the latest edition of the Fish Bowl newspaper (FISH BOWL QUICK LINK)!
