We did some exploring of Manners this week! Students examined and supported their inferences of why it is important to have excellent manners in and out of the classroom. Students learned even the cavemen used manners so they could survive! Manners around the world were also explored, along with Holidays around the World as well! Students are busy researching the holidays and countries of their choice! Look forward to a Holiday Newspaper sharing what they have learned! During Eagle Time, students in my group read a passage entitled, "Amelia Earhart’s Last Chapter Was As a Heroic Castaway" which was an 1170 Lexile! With support, we used text annotations, text mark-ups, predicting, analyzing, and synthesizing to learn Amelia Earhart actually survived for several months after her plane had crashed! Students created Graffiti Walls with facts and information about Amelia Earhart! She was quite a daredevil! We thank you for your continued support.-Mrs. Izzo
