Take Responsibility, Always Growing, Better Together
Dec. 30, 2022
A message from me...
Happy Final Friday of 2022!
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and was able to spend time with those they love. I have had an enjoyable time but am looking forward to seeing everyone and starting 2023 with you.
Over the break, I was having some conversations with some friends and family and the topic of one of your favorite or most exciting gifts you received as a child. I thought about it for a minute and said a new box of Crayola 64s with a sharpener. I loved to color and draw when I was a kid (not much talent but loved doing it) so a new box of crayons was so exciting.
Over the course of a year, some would break, get lost, and get thrown in the "crayon tub". Once in the tub, it was never the same. But with a new Crayola 64, there were new brilliant colors, a perfect tip to draw, and a box with a sharpener (only my favorite colors got that treatment!). I would spend hours trying all the new colors and drawing pictures. Thinking about getting that new box still makes me so very happy!
That conversation got me thinking about the opportunity we have as we start back in January. The beginning of a new semester/year gives have a chance to start coloring with a brand new box of crayons. So many possibilities within our box of 64. It would be a shame if we didn't take advantage of it.
My hope for us all in this new year is that we use our crayons to our fullest so we need a new box next December!
Happy New Year! Sending love and prosperity to you all!
Better Together,
Mike

CELTS, LEAVE YOUR MARK AT DUBLIN JEROME WITH A COMMEMORATIVE BRICK
With the new addition to Dublin Jerome High School, the commemorative brick patio is also getting some additions… your personalized Celtic Brick. The current brick patio was installed in 2014 to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the DJHS as a gift from that year’s senior class. Who knew that less than 10 years later, we would need the current additions to accommodate the incredible growth in our schools? The original patio will be relocated to the front of the school near the new school addition in the summer of 2023. The relocation allows us to add additional bricks to complement the original memorial bricks.
This is your opportunity to purchase a beautiful, engraved brick paver to celebrate and memorialize students, alumni, school team, club, organization, or your favorite teacher in a meaningful and unique way that is forever set in stone.
Fill out the information below to purchase your Celt Brick and then don’t forget to come to see your commemorative brick during the grand opening of the school next fall.
4x8 bricks are $100 and can have up to 4 lines with up to 21 characters per line (Recommended: 3 lines, 18 characters). All proceeds go directly to the PTO to support all students and teachers at Dublin Jerome.
