Cross Country Teams Qualify for Regionals
Girls Cross Country League Champs Apparel
The HS girls cross country team won the first league championship since the program started in 1986.
We’re selling apparel now through Sunday night if you’re interested.

2019 Hunt & Harvest
It’s Hunt and Harvest Time, please join the Genoa FFA Alumni, the Genoa Penta FFA Students, and the Genoa Academic Committee for the Annual Hunt and Harvest Reverse Raffle on November 15 at Sunrise Park and Banquet Center.
The doors open at 5:30 pm with dinner at 6:30 followed by Games, prizes, silent auction, farm animal and tractor races, and a $1000 reverse raffle.
If you can’t make it that night, you can still support our kids by purchasing a reverse raffle ticket, $500 gift certificate raffle ticket, or donating a silent auction item.
For tickets please contact any FFA student, Trisha Schoen, Amy Fought, Andrea Trainer for more information or donations please contact Amy Fought at 419-680-4503 and/or Susan Meng at 419-276-5988. (No farm animals or tractors will be harmed during the races!)
Fall Play Promo
Genoa High School's preparation for the fall production of Shakespeare in Love is in full swing! Actors and crew are busy learning lines, making props, sewing costumes, and designing light plots and music cues.
Immerse yourself in a play that gives you a peek at the creation of Romeo and Juliet on Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23 at 7pm and Sunday, November 24 at 2pm. Quiz Bowl T-Shirts for Sale
The High School Quiz Bowl team just got our team shirts for the year, and there's been a huge positive response. If you would like to support the team and have one of your very own Quiz Bowl shirts, now is your chance!
Each shirt is $15 and comes in maroon with white jersey sleeve stripes and white design. See a quiz team member or Mr. Larsen for what the shirt looks like.
To order, reply to me with your name and shirt size, or come to the Success Center to sign up. All orders and money are due by next Thursday, Oct. 31 (Halloween). Make checks payable to Genoa Schools.

ACT Prep Course Registration
Students who plan to take the December 14th ACT test should plan to attend this ALL NEW ACT Prep course by STARS.
Who is STARS? What do they do?
STARS was founded in 2003 by Greg Owens, a Yale University educated educational consultant, and Mona McGhee, a counselor and educator for more than 30 years. For over a decade, STARS has been instrumental in helping thousands of students attain their educational goals, including admission to some of our nation’s most
prestigious colleges and universities.
Important note - students all over the country pay $259 for this course. GAC has negotiated the price down to $200 per student AND is paying the first $50 toward each GHS student's course fee, making this incredible course available to GHS students for ONLY $150!

Playing sports
After high school what path led you to where you are today? (After HS until Today)
Assembly line at Jeep then to an Electrical Journeyman at Jeep. Retired from Jeep and now Electrician at Whirlpool in Clyde, Oh..
What are your plans for the future?
Work another 5yrs and retire for good.
What would be one word of advice that you have for high school students now at Genoa?
Be yourself!
