Please make sure students are fed, rested and ready for state testing (ACAP) this week and next. Students need to bring (charged!) devices daily! Its VERY important that these devices are with them and charged. Bring the chargers, also. Thank you for helping us show off what our awesome DMS Panthers can do!
Note: ALL Orlando chaperones must have a Bibb volunteer card through MCS. See Orlando Updates section for slideshow where info has been added.

Please share the graphic below on social media today or tomorrow if you are part of any 5th grade groups. We are hosting this second petting zoo event for future DMS panthers interested in band who may have missed our first event.
SNAP RAISE FUNDRAISER
Our fundraiser goal was to raise at least $10,000 -- We did it! Let's keep going!!!

Thank you all SO much for sharing, emailing, texting and helping us gather these donations for our band program!! We are so blessed and excited for the new and exciting opportunities this presents for our students!
This fundraiser lasts until April 19th, so PLEASE keep adding emails and sending text blasts. I think we can all agree that this process WORKS!
We are over $20,000 in donations already - our most EVER - and we are still going!
And all of that is with only 9% of our students adding their full amount of 20 emails! Remember, if your student can gather and add 20 emails, they are eligible for DMS Band merch and prizes!!!!!

ORLANDO TRIP UPDATES
The trip roster is posted in the band room for students to peruse to find roomates. Email me with questions, concerns, etc. We will sign up in class and Mrs. Merritt and Mrs. Rhoades will have "veto power!" and final say. We will be sure to stay in contact with parents and give parents the final say as well, obviously.
First trip band rehearsal after school will be Wednesday April 13th until 5pm.

- Sign up for a time slot, complete online registration, print audition form, and practice scales/etudes.
- All fees from current members should be paid by April 4.

- April 18 (Monday)- Competition Guard
- Complete online registration prior to audition day.
- Returning members bring uniform on April 11 for inspection or indicate you’d to order.

Students have a different schedule every day.
Students MUST bring devices daily - and they MUST be charged.
Bring chargers to school!
This will make everything much easier on everyone - thank you for being prepared!
I've included some documents below for my "super planners" who like to know what is going on. BUT, all you guys really need to know is to make sure your students are:
- at school on time
- fed well
- well rested
- with device/charger
Please also talk to your students about doing their best on this test, not skipping through or sleeping through. We want our students to shine and show off what the #1 middle school in Alabama can do!!

This (below) is what we, the band teachers, are using to help us get through the week, schedule-wise. Students can see what the order of classes is and which class they will go to lunch with, etc. It changes daily.
