Shout Out
Our Weekly Shout Out goes to all the teachers who encourage, support, love, persevere, provide clear expectations, and believe!!! (ie, All of YOU!)
We wanted to share an email from a proud parent:
Did you all see Renee Williams report card?
Amen to great teachers and staff at Roosevelt Middle School.
GPA 3.0
She was excited and surprised about her grades. She said that “I knew I could do it”. I told her we did too but she need to know it for herself. She started dancing to the music in her head, her eyes filled with water and she ended in a prayer of Thanking God for not giving up on her. I wanted to share this personal moment with you all because you truly made a difference in my daughters life.
Thank you so much!

Thank you for an amazing PD on Friday! It was such a beautiful learning experience for us. We appreciate all of your attention and collaboration. Thank you David for helping us explore options during an Active Shooter Event. Thank you Identity Sprint Team and teachers who spoke about a possible evolution of our name. We appreciated the time to explore the one pager and reflect on our name. Thank you Literacy team for giving teachers tools they can use in their classes Monday. We appreciate everyone's effort to make our staff development a success.
Literacy Highlights!
Thank you Jenn Waite and the Literacy Team for facilitating wonderful strategies to elevate literacy at RMS. We hope that the instruction on marking the text, academic vocabulary, AXES paragraph rubric, PBS Learning Media, ELD Lesson Plan/Graphic Organizers, scaffolds for Special Education, and defining literacy at RMS were helpful. This week we will continue to work with our Prides and grade level to define three common agreements that will help you focus your work.
