New Opportunities for 9th Graders
Message from Justin Wilson - BBBS
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Justin Wilson, and I am the Senior Program Coordinator with Big Brothers Big Sisters at Revere High School. I am reaching out to share an exciting opportunity for your child as they begin their freshman year this fall.
We are thrilled to introduce our Big Futures Mentoring program, designed specifically to support incoming freshmen like your child throughout their high school journey. Our goal is to offer 1-to-1 mentorship that will help them navigate this new chapter of their life successfully. But that's not all; we have also planned numerous partnership events for the upcoming school year, creating a dynamic and enriching experience for our mentees.
By participating in our program, your child will not only have access to personalized mentoring but will also be able to attend a range of events, including college tours, engaging Career Panels at Fenway Park, Sports Leadership Pathways at U-Mass Boston, and much more. These events are carefully curated to inspire, empower, and prepare your child for a bright future.
One of the most exciting aspects of our Big Futures Mentoring program is its longevity. Upon joining, your child will have the opportunity to benefit from mentorship until they graduate, ensuring they receive consistent support throughout all four years of high school.
I sincerely believe that this program can make a significant positive impact on your child's life, and we would be honored to have them as part of our mentoring community. If you find this opportunity interesting and wish to enroll your child, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to answer any questions you may have and guide you through the enrollment process.
Thank you for taking the time to consider this opportunity for your child. We look forward to the possibility of welcoming them into our Big Futures Mentoring program and supporting them in reaching their full potential.
For any questions and concerns, please feel free to contact me (703) 232- 2517 or jwilson@emassbigs.org.
Space is limited, all interested Grade 9 students can use this link to sign-up!

Revere High School Athletics
Message from Mr. Shea - Athletic Director
Dear Incoming 9th Graders,
Welcome to Revere High School. My name is Frank Shea and I am the Director of Athletics at Revere High School. I am contacting you to give you some general, but important information about our sports programs at Revere High School.
We offer twenty-six varsity programs and an additional fifteen sub-varsity programs. Our programs are broken into three seasons, fall, winter and spring. If you wish to participate in any of our programs, here are some key criteria that you must meet:
You must register for all sports on Final Forms – revere-ma.finalforms.com
You must have a valid physical examination (within 13 months) on file with the high school nurse’s office and athletic trainer along with having it uploaded to Final Forms.
You must attend a tryout where a coach will place you on a particular team.
If you are trying out for a winter or spring sport, you must have passed at least 2/4 of your courses for the previous marking period.
Our fall sports tryouts begin in August. Football and golf begin on August 18th, and all other fall sports begin on August 21st. Fall cheerleading is an exception, and tryouts have already taken place in June.
Enclosed you will find a list of all our programs along with an email address for each sports varsity coach. If you are interested in trying out, please reach out to the varsity coach and let them know that you are interested. They will be able to update you with any additional information that you may need for their particular sport.
If you have any additional questions, I can be reached via email at fshea@reverek12.org or by telephone at 781-286-8222 ext. 51399.
We hope to see as many of you as possible participating and representing Revere High School in the near future.
Sincerely,
Frank Shea
