Myersville Elementary picture day is Tuesday, September 20th. You can pre-order pictures using the link below. Otherwise, fill out the order form that will come home with your student today and return on picture day.
Extended Absences
If your child is absent, you can come to school to get a chromebook so that your child can access schoology, I-ready and Lexia. You can also pick up any work from the teacher in the front office if you prefer.
Food and Nutrition Services

There is no cost for breakfast or lunch meals to students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals. Meal Benefit Applications (FARM) for 2023 are now available. To apply online for meal benefits: https://www.fcpsnutrition.com/
You may log onto www.myschoolbucks.com and pay for meals online. Your child can purchase breakfast, lunch, snacks, and ice cream with that account. If you only want your child to purchase breakfast or lunch with that money, you will need to write in the memo line, “meals only”.

WALK TO SCHOOL DAY
on
Thursday, October 6th!
Join children and adults around the world to celebrate
the benefits of walking and bicycling.
ALL MYES students are invited to experience the fun and joy of walking or biking to school!
This one morning of the school year, parents of car riders and bus riders are encouraged to drive their children in, park at the Myersville Community Library/Harp Park and join the group walk. Regular walkers and bike riders are welcome to gather in town and share their daily experience!

8:10 a.m. Maryland State Delegate Jesse Pippy---message to participants.
8:15 a.m. State Highway Administration (SHA) message about pedestrian safety.
8:25 a.m. Mayor Mark Hinkle of Myersville---message to participants.
8:30 a.m. Group walk – Students & parents* walk together from Myersville Library to MYES
(*Students must be accompanied by an adult) Sheriff Deputy Paul Graves will provide safety.)
8:40 a.m. Arrival at School – Refreshments for all !

Walk to School Day is coordinated in the USA by the National Center for Safe Routes to School.
Arrival and Dismissal
Arrival- Students can begin to arrive between 8:30 and 9:00 am. For the safety of our students, students cannot be permitted in the building prior to 8:30 am. Instruction begins promptly at 9:00 am.
Walkers are asked to enter the building at the Kindergarten doors. Car riders should be dropped off in the back lot in the car rider loop between 8:30-9:00 am. Please remain in a single file line.
Dismissal- Walkers and car riders will be dismissed at 3:30 pm. Walkers exit from the main entrance while car riders are dismissed in the back of the school. Students will wait inside the school in the gym. Please remain in your vehicle while waiting in the car rider loop.
Car rider pick up will be in two waves in order to minimize traffic on Main Street. Please do not block the crosswalk on Main Street if you are waiting. If you have multiple children at MYES, please arrive at 3:30. If you have only one child, please arrive at 3:40. Your adherence to these times will greatly support our school dismissal- thank you in advance.
