Our Dr. Seuss Read-In will be Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 9:00-12:00. We would love for you to share your love of books by reading a to some of our scholars. You will receive parent volunteer hours for any amount of time you can contribute. If you are interested in participating, please send attached Dr. Seuss invitation back to your scholar's teacher by Friday, February 26, 2016.

SS6G3 The student will explain the impact of location, climate, distribution of natural resources, and population distribution on Latin America and the Caribbean. a. 02-08-16 to 02-11-16

Hello wonderful LPA parents. Our scholars have shown in-depth knowledge about the water cycle. They will now expanded their understanding of oceans and their attributes. Students will also begin learning about currents. There is a quizlet vocabulary up for this unit ( Earth's Water Processes ). Don’t forget that your Heliocentric projects are due February 16, 2016.

Standards for this week:

S6E3. Students will recognize the significant role of water in earth processes.

S6E3.c. Describe the composition, location, and subsurface topography of the world’s oceans.

Students were told to compile all of their writings into one binder for a writing portfolio. We will be reviewing these portfolios as a means of self-evaluations of our writing progression throughout the year.
