Greetings, Ride Families!
It is hard to believe that we are more than a quarter of the way through the school year! It is such a joy to be at Ride with your children and watching them learn daily routines and grow academically each day.
We are in the midst of parent-teacher conferences this month and hope you will decide to come learn more about how your child is doing in a large academic setting. Parent-Teacher Conferences provide an important opportunity to connect and build a strong school-home partnership in support of each student. Our youngest students may not yet be able to vocalize fully what is going on in the classroom each day, and parents often want to know what is happening at school. These meetings allow for such insights. I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher to learn and share as much as you can. We thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to meet with us, and we look forward to collaborating with you.
Thank you for all you do to support your child and Sally K. Ride!
The entire campus is excited for our Ride’s Reading Adventure success. This week we announced the top boy and girl fundraiser for each grade level. They received a trophy and took a group picture in honor of supporting their elementary school. We will also have a Pizza in the Park with the Principal for those outstanding fundraising classes in each grade level.
Don’t forget Monday, October 31st is PINK OUT Day in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
We are so appreciative of everyone’s continued efforts to keep our community safe and healthy.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend,
# We are Responsible, #We ARE Respectful, #We ARE Challengers!

Due to limited seating in the cafeteria, we are offering two options for lunch signups. You will have the opportunity to sign up to eat in the cafeteria with your child or outside in our gazebo/picnic table area. You will not be able to change locations after signup is complete. If you sign up to eat outside and it rains, you will be unable to move into the building due to limited seating. You may sign up for another day/time.
Each slot is available for two adults and the child you are eating lunch with..
Please see the schedule below for designated grade level lunch visitor’s days. Make sure that you sign up under the correct time slot for your child’s lunchtime. Each student may have a lunch visitor once every 3.5-week period. This ensures every parent has an opportunity to sign up. Remember to bring a valid id when you visit the building.
Due to limited seating in the cafeteria, we are asking all parents with small children to eat outside in the gazebo area.
