Principal's Message
Beachmont Families,
We are slowly approaching "Spring" in New England. Days start to get a little longer and hopefully warmer, in the weeks to come!
February was a very busy month at the Beachmont. We celebrated our 100th day of school, enjoyed another fantastic 1/2 Day Celebration(Hungry Hungry Hippos), and students continued to grow both academically and social-emotionally.
On March 10th, Trimester 2 will end. Report cards will be emailed home on March 17th. We will host Parent Conferences on March 22nd. More details about how to sign up will be sent out in the next few weeks. It was great to see so many families join us for our February Parent Coffee. Our next coffee will be held on March 30th at 8:45am.
We are in the process of planning several end of year community events that will take place in May and June. Some of these events include Culture Night, Art Show, Spring Concert, PTO BBQ, Fun Day, and the 5th Grade Moving On Ceremony. Once we have confirmed these dates, we will share with families via Class Dojo.

March 6th- 5th Grade Middle School Tours
March 7th- 2nd Grade Field Trip to North Shore Music Theatre
March 10th- Trimester 2 Ends
March 15th- Early Release Day 11:30 Dismissal
March 17th- Report Cards Emailed Home
March 21st- Kindergarten Field trip to North Shore Music Theatre
March 22nd- Parent Conferences(Early Release). Teachers will be reaching out to families with how to sign up for a conference
March 30th- Monthly Parent Coffee at 8:45am in Cafeteria

March Parent Coffee
On March 30th, we will host our 7th parent coffee of the year! These events have been well attended and we appreciate this opportunity to connect with families. The coffee will take place in our cafeteria at 8:45am. In past months, we have brought in several staff members to present as well as community partners/organizations.
If you have questions or concerns that you would like addressed at our next parent coffee or would like to learn more about a specific program/aspect of the Beachmont, please email me at cfreisen@reverek12.org and we will do our best to discuss and address.
MCAS Schedule for 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders
Our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students will participate in MCAS(Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System) testing in April and May. Below are the days that the various grade-levels will participate:
ELA(English Language Arts)
3rd - April 3rd & 4th
4th - April 6th & 7th
5th - April 10th & 11th
Math
3rd - May 15th and 16th
4th- May 11th and 12th
5th- May 8th and 9th
Science Technology and Engineering
5th: May 18th and 19th
PTO News
PTO Updates
There will be a few PTO Dress Down Days in the coming months:
March 17th- Students are able to wear Green
April 14th- Students are able to wear their favorite spring colors
We ask for a $1 donation on these dress down days that will go directly to the PTO to help fund such things as field trips, PTO BBQ, and other community events.
