What was the change?
The change was in the Catholic church. In order for the catholic church to keep It's catholic believers loyal. They had to step up and make a change.
Who were the people who associated with the change?
Martin Luther
Martin Luther wrote the 95 theses. He posted it on the church doors of the Wittenburg church. The 95 Theses were quickly translated into German, Copied and printed. Within two weeks they had spread throughout Germany, and soon within two months Throughout Europe. This was one of the first events in history that was most affected by the printing press, which made the distribution of documents and ideas easier and more wide-spread.
John Calvin
John Calvin wrote a book (Bible) that taught his people are sinful because that's the way they were born. He taught predestination the idea the God was already chosen who will be saved. Calvinism is a religion based teaching that John Calvin made.
King Henry VIII
King Henry was married to a spanish princess named Katharine. in 1534 Henry had Parliament pass of Act of Supremacy which made him both the head of the church. This caused him to not HAVE to obey the popes rules anymore. due to that , he decided to remarry not once , twice , but five times! The Anglican church had practices of both protestant and catholic.the protestant church grew and the Catholic church became more unified. This then caused a decline in the authority of the Church. All in all , the individual monarchy and states gained a lot more power. this led to the development of the modern nation states.
How did the change impact the society at the time?
People could get away with anything once the replaced it with something better or equal to in return. There had to be a change , so Luther wrote a 95 theses and it dispersed all over Germany.
How is change evident in today's modern society?
It changed by having guide line (guardrails) to set ground rules so it isn't so easy to bribe people with something after you've done a terrible crime and get away with it.
