Red needs your help!
#GIVING TUESDAY
Red, a Red-Phased Screech Owl, was found standing on a street curb, exhausted, blind in his left eye.Not only would it be very difficult for him to hunt, he’d quickly fall prey to other predators. Red’s permanent home is now at the Ansonia Nature Center along with many other animals that the dedicated Nature Center staff care for and use to help educate the public.
Unfortunately municipal budgets are tight and caring for animals as well as the beautiful ANC facility is getting more expensive over time. We’re hoping you can help. Can you spare just $25 to help the ANC staff care for these animals. Your generous donation also helps the ANC staff to serve over 15,000 people each year including educating over 5,000 school students on everything the outdoors has to offer while caring for our resident animals and maintaining the ANC’s magnificent grounds.
All donations are through the Friends of the Ansonia Nature and Recreation Center, Inc., (FANCI) a 501c3 membership group which provides volunteer and financial support for the park’s daily activities –especially for our animal ambassadors, educational programs and special events.
Thank you for your help and continued support!
