Reading 3D Procedures for EOY
2. You should determine where students start testing based on MOY, PM and Dibels data. You should NOT go to the proficient level and test backwards but test from where the data shows the student is and move forward. Do not start testing more than 1 or 2 levels about PM because remember written comprehension was not used to determine that particular score.
3. If you have a student who is testing TRC ABOVE grade level. He or she will complete the TRC questions as usual. You will need to have the next grade level to score this response since they know these standards and expectations best.
For example, when second grade is testing--please remind the next grade level that you will be testing on that day. Third grade will check their boxes at break, lunch and specials to get these responses and score them. Please be patient because they will not be able to stop immediately for you but on the other hand if you know the grade level is waiting--please try to do this as soon as you can.
4. When you are finished testing, begin closing out purple folders.
5. Keep all EOY TRC responses,. Turn these in to Ms. This in a manila folder marked with your grade level to keep on file.
I know this will take some give and take on everyone's part but I believe it is what is best for our students. So, please be patient. Thsi was discussed at Leadership so Lisa and Hannah please check in with K-3 just to make sure they understand and clarify any questions. If you need me--just let me know.
K-2 Summative Math Assessment
Thank you!
Purple Folder Close Out
I know this information comes EARLY but wanted you to know what was expected of purple folders. As you complete testing on students with Tier paperwork--you can begin to close out folders.
Update the plan with most recent results from testing. K-2 can begin this process now. Unfortunately, 3-5 will not be able to do this without EOG results. Determine whether the student will stay on Tier 2 or 3 OR move back to Tier 1. You will then meet or have a phone conference with parents to discuss the next steps.
Will the child stay on Tier paperwork?
What is their deficit skill to focus on at the beginning of the year?
How can the parent help at home this summer?
Send follow up letter and put copy in folder.
Record updated testing information and have Tier paperwork signed or have a phone conference. Send this letter and make a copy to include in the purple folderwhich documents we have informed the parent on their child’s progress.
2. Organize the purple folder in this manner:
Demographic Sheet for this year filled out in its entirety.
Tier paperwork
Parent End of Year Letter
Intervention logs
Student summaries, progress monitoring graphs or other data you may have collected
***Include all MTSS forms you have from this year including social history,
observations, screening, parent invitations or other important documents from this
year for the child.
*Clip these together for this year. Put this year on top and previous years behind.
3. Meet with Kelly to turn in folders and discuss next year steps. She will sign your end of the year check sheet at this time.
