From The Desk of Mrs. Doyle
Dear Peter Noyes Families,
Happy Friday! It’s been fun to hear about the good times students had over February vacation week. We are back in the swing of things now.
Top topics for this week include:
SPRING PARENT CONFERENCES
March conferences are underway, occurring on the afternoons of March 1, 8, & 15. Spring (can we call this Spring?) conferences are one of the four formal touchpoints between teachers and families. We have two parent conferences (October and March) and two report cards (January and June). If you have not signed up for your conference, reach out to your child’s teacher to book an appointment. Conferences take place in person at school or via Google Meet video conference, your choice.
FOOD PANTRY THIS WEEK
Our next Food Pantry is Friday, March 10. Some of the items the Sudbury Food Pantry has requested are:
MEALS - boxed and canned (Hamburger Helper, taco kits, canned chili, beef stew, canned pasta)
BAKING (cake & brownie mix, oils)
SNACKS (full size cookies and crackers)
CONDIMENTS (ketchup, mayo, salad dressings)
TOMATO (sauce and diced)
PASTA BOXED RICE (Near East)
We are extremely grateful for everything you’re willing to contribute to this worthy cause and help us live our Core Value of Caring for Others.
LYSOL WIPES FOR DAY
The Frontline Impact Project was founded in 2020, to support frontline workers through natural disasters and significant events like COVID-19. The Frontline Impact Project teamed up with Lysol, Kids in Need Foundation, and Impatico to donate over 665 million Lysol wipes to schools. Nadine Eckstrom, Haynes Principal, submitted a request to the organization, as the Frontline Impact Project considers educators as frontline heroes. Sudbury Public Schools was selected to receive 30,000 packages of Lysol wipes, which were delivered on Wednesday. Thank you to the parents, staff, and fifth graders who helped us receive over 6000 packages of Lysol wipes at Noyes. If any teacher has recently requested wipes, please ignore that request. I think we’re good for quite a while.
Have an outstanding weekend. Stay safe and warm tomorrow.
Best Regards,
Annette Doyle
Thank you to Lysol for their generous donation of wipes to all of SPS!
Thank you to the army of parents that helped pick up and transport all the wipes
And thank you to Mrs. Vedora for this great photo!
The library is looking for pool noodles! If you have any, please bring them in!
