Healthy Kids Survey
HELP US REACH OUR GOAL OF 80% participation!!!!
We still need over 150 families to complete our survey. Please share your opinions on our campus life, student affairs and academic success. This survey is an opportunity to communicate your perceptions about your child’s school. Please let the office, your child's teacher, or email Ms. Koontz and let them know when you take the survey.
Students will receive 10 GATOR BITES

MDUSD Cell Phone Policy
Taken from the Parent Information Packet (pg 47) which can be found on our GGE website and adapted for our use:
We recognize that cell phones have become a common tool for communication. However, they have also become a major distraction to the learning environment and are vulnerable to theft. We ask that you allow your child to carry a cell phone only if absolutely necessary. Students are allowed to carry cell phones to school. However, phones must be turned off and stored out of sight during school hours. Phones may not be used to talk, take pictures, play games, record or text during school hours, including recesses. The office will be keeping a log of phones taken by student.
First Infraction - Students will have their cell phone taken away and returned at the end of the day.
Second Infraction - Students will have their cell phone taken and locked up in the office until a parent can come to school to retrieve it.
Third Infraction - Students will no longer be allowed to bring a cell phone to school until a parent conference with the principal is held.
Please know in the event of an emergency parents or guardians can always call the office and we will gladly get the information to your child.

Coronavirus Update
Our district and school sites are continuously monitoring the status of this virus, and we will send follow-up information if there is any increase in risk to our community. While the risk for our community is very low, preventative measures like limiting contact with those who are sick, washing hands frequently, and covering coughs and sneezes are always best practice.
The Contra Costa County Office of Education has maintained a coronavirus webpage for those who wish to learn more or share information with others.
Visitors on Campus
ALL visitors on campus must first go through the office to sign in for a badge/visitor pass. Whether you are helping in a classroom or at a school event and/or bringing something to a classroom for a party, you need to check into the office before going any further. This is for the safety of all at school. Thank you.
Do you have a GGE Visitor Lanyard/Badge?
We are missing quite a few of our purple lanyard GGE visitor badges. If you happen to wear it home by mistake, please send it back to school with your student or return on your next visit to our office. Thank you.
Dress Code - Heely's Shoes
Heelys are the original skate shoes with wheels. Gregory Gardens does not allow students to wear these as they are a safety hazard with the wheels and students skating in hallways and the blacktop.
MDUSD Budget
It is important for us all to recognize that this budget reconciliation process will be difficult. This is our opportunity as a community to pull together as a collective team to keep our focus on students at the center of every decision. Now more than ever before, we need to adopt an innovative mindset to identify novel solutions that keep us moving forward as an organization, remain fiscally solvent and operate as good stewards of taxpayer dollars, and the model educational excellence and innovation that all of our students so richly deserve.
The community and our staff are invited to the following meetings:
Tuesday, February 18th – 7:00 PM Ygnacio Valley High School Multi Use Room
Thursday, February 20th - 5:30 PM Riverview Middle School Multi Use Room
Thursday, February 20th – 7:00 PM Pleasant Hill Middle School Multi Use Room
