Principal Message
I had a chance to be in Madison this week for a Building Culturally Responsive Schools Conference and while I was there, I had a chance to sneak over to the Capital building to join our fourth grade students in a brief tour of the Capital building. If you haven't been to visit, I highly recommend it. I also just want to share how impressive our students were on the tour. I heard many compliments from families and staff about how they were excellent representatives of our school and community. Way to go Timberwolves!
The Wauwatosa School District is continuing to gather broad community input in our long-range master facilities planning process.
In the next two weeks (mid-to-late April), all Wauwatosa residents will receive a facilities planning survey from the District. Please watch for this in your mailbox and take 10 minutes to complete the survey. Your input matters and we look forward to hearing from you.
When the survey arrives, read the front page carefully. It includes instructions for how to obtain a second survey if you have more than one adult member in your household that wants to participate. Additionally, District parents and staff will receive an emailed link. Paper copies will also include a link for completing the survey online. We encourage you to take the survey in whichever format you feel most comfortable.
Click HERE for a flyer to share on your social media accounts to help increase awareness of the survey's upcoming arrival and encourage your neighbors, friends and family who are residents to participate.
The results of the survey will be presented to the Wauwatosa School Board, the Facilities Advisory Committee, and the community during the June 11th Board meeting. You are invited to attend.
Results will also be shared via our District website and District communication.

Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week is next month (May 7-11).
The PTA plans fun treats for staff each day, and parents & students are encouraged to help show how much we appreciate what they do!
Please consider purchasing a gift card to put into our raffle – last year the staff LOVED these! Any amount is welcome, and local places are great! Maybe $10 at Rocket Baby. Or $5 at Cranky Al’s. $15 at Hue? Or $20 at Bel Air? How about $25 at Puhl’s True Value? **Especially coveted cards are Ray’s on North Ave.** Or a cash donation so we can purchase gift cards. As you’re out shopping in the next couple weeks, please keep these gift cards in mind. Send them to school directed to Mrs. Schram in the office.
