Mrs. Martin's Weekly Newsletter

Notes:
Hello Families,
Wow, what a great year! I want to thank all of you for your patience, generosity, kindness, and support throughout the school year. As I reflect on our time together, I've most enjoyed seeing your children's smiling faces. I loved watching them succeed, whether it was solving a challenging math problem, understanding a story, or even remembering to check in for lunch after a week-long stretch of forgetting:) I'm proud of the kindness and helpfulness they showed to one another, and to me. Cooperation at the age of 8 and 9 isn't easy, but they amazed me often.
As you and your family move forward, I wish you all the best. Maybe I will be lucky enough to have younger siblings:). Please know that my door will always be open to you and your child. I'm in this parenting thing with you and it's not always easy, but it's always full of love!
Report Cards will come home tomorrow. Enclosed in the envelope is a DVD that includes a slideshow (below), as well as two other folders on the DVD. One has photographs taken throughout the year, organized by the month. The other folder has random video clips. I don't think the DVD can be played on a regular DVD player, but can be played on either Windows or Mac operating system. *I'm going to show the kids the slideshow tomorrow, so if you could hold off showing it to them tonight I'd appreciate it.
*Tomorrow we will also be living out the picture book, "Yes Day"! Should be interesting! Shhhh...it's a secret!
