An “informance” is an informational and informal music performance. It different from a traditional performance, however, as it is a chance for families to visit and see what a typical music class looks like. You are welcome to come to the music room at Pike Lake during your child’s music time that week; families can sit and watch the class in action!
Parents/guardians can arrive a few minutes early and sign into the office. Please bring your photo ID. Younger siblings are welcome to visit with parents/guardians. The doors to the music room will be open to newly arriving guests 1 minute prior to each performance to allow for students and families to exit and enter in an orderly fashion.
Please call (651-621-7497)or email Heather Kelsey if you have any questions.

Fill the Shelves Food Drive
This year our goal is to collect 700 pounds of food! In addition to collecting items for the Food Shelf, we will have a coin drive at Pike Lake. Each day we will be accepting donations of pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and dollars to support Ralph Reeder. Each day we will be collecting a different denomination of money:
- Monday, March 4 - Pennies
- Tuesday, March 5 - Nickels
- Wednesday, March 6 - Dimes
- Thursday, March 7 - Quarters
- Friday, March 8 - Dollars
Financial donations, no matter how small, are a great way to support the food shelf. For every $1.00 donated, the Food Shelf can acquire $8.00 worth of food to support families. Donations will be collected in the classroom.
Thank you for helping to support our families in need!

Volunteering at Pike Lake
All volunteers in the Mounds View School District are required to complete a background check at your student's school before volunteering. If you are interested in volunteering at Pike Lake please click here to print a background check form. Pike Lake conducts a background check each year on each volunteer; if you have a check on file with another school or have previously had a background check at Pike Lake we ask that you please fill one out again for this year. Volunteers are required to familiarize themselves with Policy EG-3104.
Celebration or Birthday Treats
In order to help promote all students' health as well as providing a safe environment for our students with food sensitivities, all elementary and Kindergarten centers have guidelines for celebrations.
If you wish to bring something to share with classmates for a birthday or other special event please limit it to a non-food item. Donation examples include, but are not limited to: student's favorite book to the class collection, have a special 'guest reader' read a book to the class, stickers, pencils, pens, markers, erasers, a board game to the class for indoor recess, etc. Your child's teacher will also help recognize your child's special day.
