Monday Memo
Weekly Campus and Principal Update
Signature Needed
There are two items to view and accept through the TEAMS Employee Service Center at esc.pisd.edu. The process to view and accept will be the same as the last couple of years. The two documents are:
a) 2013-2014 Compensation Notice Acknowledgment, and
b) 2013-2014 HR Policy Guide Acknowledgment.
Please note:
· All employees are required to view and accept the acknowledgment for the Compensation Notice and the HR Policy Guide.
· Substitutes/adult temps are not required to complete this process as they do so as part of their annual orientation.
· Viewing and acceptance is done through the TEAMS Employee Service Center at esc.pisd.edu.
· There are two steps for each of the acknowledgments, you must view and then accept each.
· Documents with step by step instructions are attached for your reference.
· The deadline for electronic acceptance is Friday, November 1, 2013.
· Contact the Help Desk (ext. 28767 or TSOS@pisd.edu) if you need assistance with your login ID and password, or with any part of this document acceptance process.
· All employees have a network ID and password to log into the TEAMS Employee Service Center (including those whose assignment does not require the use of a computer, for example: FANS and Transportation).
Because the Compensation Notice and the HR Policy Guide reside on the intranet (inside.pisd) employees must access this document from a network computer within PISD.
1st Six Weeks Failures and Next Steps
You received an email from Ms. Theodore on Friday with directions for accessing a Google website where you will input data on students who failed the first six weeks of your course. Additionally, failures will be a departmental discussion with your team as you reflect and share best practices and additional interventions. It is not too late to for a student to repair a six weeks grade ~ it is your decision to extend a repair opportunity to your students, and I highly encourage you to do so. Students with a grade lower than a 50 will not be able to earn credit for the ENTIRE semester.
Please be reminded that the Freshman Focus Forum will happen on Wednesday. It is imperative that our 9th graders have work ready to complete with Ms. Theodore. Thank you for making this experience impactful in its strong message about our academic expectations in addition to students maintaining a graduation mindset.
Classroom Visit ~ TECHNOLOGY TIME!
On October 23rd, we will host some visitors in our building who are excited to see technology integration in action! Please review your unit calendars and share with me via email what you have planned that would showcase technology in the hands of our students. This is a great opportunity to show our development as a 21st Century school!
