The Citizens Power

The Citizens Should Over Come

Thesis

Citizens should be more in power based on the majority of what people want, the government can be easily corrupted and the citizens as a whole have more experience of what they should have or want

Summary

In “Harrison Bergeron” by Kurt Vonnegut and “The Most Dangerous Game” by Richard Connell, both text show why the government should always have what they want. In Harrison Bergeron they make people have to look the same people that have a major difference have to get handicaps to look normal or uglier. In the story The Most Dangerous Game he was able to kill anyone he wanted without anyone stopping him.

Quote Analysis Harrison Bergson By Kurt Vonnegut

Quote: “the unceasing vigilance of agents of the United States Handicapper General.”

Analysis: The government was tired of people trying to stand up against the government so they had to give people handicaps to limit there thinking and doing. This supports my thesis because the people attempted to stand up against the government for what was right but would get killed.

Conclusion

The citizens should have more power because the government is easy to corrupt and the citizens as a whole know what is better for there own community and not people who never been to that community. For the upcoming election I feel like the most important parts are what laws they will make stronger or weaker. What I am most scared of is a president or leader who will abuse there power and harm the whole country.
