2019-2020 COURSE CHANGES

Starting May 13th, students have had the opportunity to revisit their class requests one final time. This is not their schedule, but only requested classes. Students have until Monday, May 20th to make changes to their requests.

Accurate requests allow for proper planning for the 19-20 school year as it pertains to staffing and course offerings. We will not be making changes to student schedules in the fall unless it meets certain criteria.

Please see slides below for more specific information.

VERIFICATION OF RESIDENCY

Dear Staley families,

As we approach the end of the current school year, we begin preparing for the start of the next school year. To ensure we have timely and accurate information in your student’s record, we are asking all families to provide verification of residency. This can be done in advance to save time at registration and to streamline the process for those who have children in more than one school. Attached are guidelines for families regarding the residency verification process. We are requesting all residency documentation be turned in by May 31st.

Residency can be submitted through email at jennifer.long@nkcschools.org or in person in our main office.

Interested in being a Host Family?

IN SEARCH OF 3 more great families to host a Spanish exchange student July 8-29th from Spain!!!

This is SUCH an incredible opportunity to learn more about Spain and share our American culture!

These students from from Castellón de la Plana, just north of Valencia. Students look forward to experiencing the daily life of their hosts and improving their language.

TOO BUSY? - Busy is good - lots going on for a student to experience!

We don't do anything fun? - EVERYTHING you do will be new and fun - and sharing even routine activities will make them fun for you when you experience it for the first time with a vistior!

We don't have an extra room at home? - Sharing a room with a host of the same gender is FINE, and can even help in bonding!

Kids will be at camp during the stay? - Visiting students can join in on lots of activities like camps, volunteer programs or even mission trips - just ask us for help to find a match that will fit in well with whatever you have planned!
