From Vision to Action
The ELA Summer Curriculum Camp will continue the visioning work started Spring 2016. Participants will use the philosophy, rationale, and effective practices endorsed by ELA teachers to engage in:
- Assessment Development -- benchmark assessments around big curricular ideas
- Curriculum Writing -- develop scope and sequence and curriculum map
- Resources Review -- review relevant texts with the team

Ann is an Assistant Professor at Creighton University and served as the Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction for Council Bluffs Community School District. She is coauthor of Align the Design: a blueprint for school improvement published by ASCD. This resource provides guidance to schools interested in replicating the work Ann facilitated that led to increased student achievement in her district.
