Additionally, we will be administering the PSSA Math assessment on Wednesday and Thursday. We will follow the same procedures that we did last week for the PSSA ELA testing. You can find more information under the PSSA information section of this week's update about your child's schedule for this week.
Please continue to let our nurse, Mrs. Suess, know if anyone in your family is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. This information is critical to the safety of the students and staff at JMS.

Algebra 1 Keystone Information
**This exam is required for any student who is currently taking 8th Grade math with Mrs. Luptak and Mrs. Hogel.**
We will begin our Algebra I Keystone testing on Monday, May 24th.
Act 158 of 2018 provides pathways for students to meet the State graduation requirements; two of the pathways require having a score for each Keystone Exam. It is highly recommended that your child participate in the Algebra I Keystone exam.
Our testing dates are:
The Pennsylvania Department of Education does not provide a remote option to take the Algebra I Keystone exam. Therefore, Cyber Cohort students will need to report to the building to participate in the exam to ensure that all five graduation requirement pathways remain available.
Cyber Cohort students can participate during the dates listed above, or this year, we will offer an exam administration the week of June 7 at the High School. Be assured that all procedures outlined in the Health & Safety Plan will be implemented during the testing window(s).
To help us plan and prepare for the exam’s administration, I am asking that you complete this FORM if you are choosing one of the options listed below:
Opting-out of the assessment due to religious objection. (**Note: This will reduce the number of pathways available to meet the graduation requirements outlined in Act 158 of 2018.** )
Exercising the option to take the Keystone Exam during the week of June 7 at the High School - Cyber Cohort students ONLY.
If your child will be participating in the Algebra I Keystone exam, you do not need to complete the form.
Thank you for your continued support. Please let us know if you have any questions.
We will begin our PSSA MATH testing on Wednesday, May 19th. Our testing days are as follows:
May 19-20 - PSSA Math
May 26-27 - PSSA Science (Grade 8 Only)
Please read the information below so that you know what to expect on testing days. The schedule is rather complex and we want to make sure that everyone knows where they should be on testing days.
