Class Night for Rising 9th Graders-Families and Rising 9th graders are invited to attend our Class Night for Rising 9th graders to celebrate the promotion of our students. This will be a formal ceremony where Josh Carter, principal of SHHS will welcome the class of 2027 as Toppers! Students will need to be there at 5:40 and they should meet in the cafeteria at Grand Topper Hall to line up. LBMS parents will sit on the home bleacher side and ITMS parents will sit on the visitor bleacher side.

Interested in being on the Robotics Team next year here at Liberty Bell? The 23-24 team is now open for next year's 7th & 8th graders. Please fill out the form linked here using your school account, and someone will be in touch with you over the summer to let you know if you made the team. Students on the team agree to be in STEM class for Quarter 1 and 2 as one of their related arts to meet with their teammates daily to work on their robot. Some after-school practices will be required as well as we get closer to competitions. If any rising 6th grade students are interested, there will be a robotics club that starts in the fall semester - listen for an announcement about that when the school year starts back!

Any Girl interested in trying out for Science Hill Girls Soccer needs to have physical turned in by Wednesday May 24th.

Open fitness/play is May 24,25,26

The Tennessee Department of Health (TDOH) has issued the following immunization requirements for students entering 7th grade. Students must show proof of Tdap booster (Tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis). Please provide documentation of this immunization on an official Tennessee Certificate of Immunization to the school. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Office of School Nurses at 232-5380.

Johnson City Schools has started registration for the 2023-2024 school year. Currently, new students – including kindergarteners – can visit www.jcschools.org to register their student. Current students will be able to register in July when parents will receive an email with pre-populated demographic data. Parents of returning students do not need to do anything at this time except verify their best email address with the school’s front office.

Elementary and middle schools that will be open for tuition will be selected by the Johnson City Board of Education during their June 6 meeting. Science Hill has already been designated as a tuition school and the application will open with other tuition applications on June 6.

Johnson City Schools has moved all registration online. If anyone needs help, please contact your school and they will be able to setup a time to assist in the registration process.

• Boys Basketball Tryouts for summer team: May 25th and 26th from 5-7 at Liberty Bell Gym

• Girls Soccer Tryouts: May 25th and 26th from 5-7 at Kermit Tipton Stadium
• Volleyball Tryouts: May 24th 11:30-1:45 and May 25th 1-3 at Liberty Bell Gym
• Student athletes must have a physical on file with Liberty Bell dated after April 15th, 2023. All Current athletes are covered through June.

• All NEW Student athletes must have a physical on file with Liberty Bell dated after April 15th, 2023 before you tryout. You can pick up those forms in the front office.

• All returning athlete's current physicals are good to try out through June 30th, 2023. You must get a new physical before school starts next year to be eligible for the 23-24 School Year.
